When it comes to grants, clarity matters.

You need to understand where information comes from, and feel confident in what you're submitting. That’s why we’ve introduced Source Exposure & Memory Control inside Grant.

This update gives you visibility into the sources used to generate your content, and control over how they’re used moving forward.

What’s New

You can now view and manage the sources Grant uses while generating:

  • Letters of Intent (LOIs)

  • Online Form responses

Inside both the LOI editor and the Online Form editor, you’ll see a new Sources button.

With one click, you can see everything referenced while your draft or responses were created.

Two Types of Sources

When you open the Sources panel, you’ll see two types:

1. Question Sources

These come from answers you’ve previously shared in forms. You’ll see:

  • The original question

  • Your submitted answer

  • The related application

This helps you understand how your past responses are being reused and applied.

2. Fact Sources

These come from documents Grant references while writing. When you open a fact source, you can:

  • View the full document

  • See the exact section used, clearly highlighted

No guessing. No ambiguity. Just clear context.

You’re in Control

If a source needs updating or shouldn’t be used moving forward, you can remove it directly from the Sources panel.

Before deleting, you’ll see a clear explanation of how that change affects future drafts and responses, so you always understand the impact.

This means you’re not just editing text. You’re managing the underlying memory that powers future outputs.

Why This Matters

This feature is about more than visibility, it’s about trust and ownership.

With Source Exposure & Memory Control, you get:

  • Transparency into how your content is generated

  • Control over what information is used

  • Confidence in every submission

  • Fewer revisions over time

Grant becomes more than a writing assistant, it becomes a transparent collaborator.

Available Now

Source Exposure & Memory Control is now live in both the LOI editor and Online Form editor.

We’ll continue refining and expanding this experience as we evolve Grant, including improvements to how sources are organized and surfaced at scale.

As always, your feedback shapes what we build next.

Let’s keep moving your grant work forward, together.
