At Vee.com, we believe some of the most powerful movements are born from lived experience and fueled by compassion. This month, we were deeply honored to serve as a sponsor at BRCAStrong’s “A Decade of Strength Gala”, a milestone event that celebrated ten years of courage, community, and unwavering support for those impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers.
A Mission Rooted in Care and Advocacy
BRCAStrong was founded with a clear purpose: to ensure that no woman or individual facing a mastectomy or cancer journey feels alone. Over the past decade, they have delivered more than 8,950 pre-mastectomy care packages to patients across the United States. These packages provide not just comfort items, but also a message of solidarity, a reminder that there is a community walking alongside every warrior, survivor, and thriver.
Beyond care packages, BRCAStrong advocates for education, awareness, and empowerment. They champion early detection, provide resources to help individuals understand their health risks, and foster conversations that break down stigma. Their work is as much about prevention and education as it is about comfort and healing.
What makes BRCA Strong's work particularly impactful is the timing of their care. A pre-mastectomy package arrives before surgery — in that window of fear and uncertainty when the path ahead feels overwhelming. That care package is often the first tangible reminder that someone outside the immediate family is paying attention. For many women, it's the moment they feel seen as more than a patient. Over 8,950 of those moments in ten years. That's not a metric. That's a movement.
A Night of Celebration and Reflection
The “Decade of Strength Gala” brought together survivors, previvors, medical professionals, advocates, volunteers, and supporters in one space to honor a decade of progress. Thanks to the support of partners and the dedication of the BRCA Strong team, the gala completely sold out with more than 350 attendees filling the room. Stories of resilience filled the night: stories of women who found courage in community, families who received hope through support, and volunteers who have given countless hours to the cause.
The atmosphere was one of both gratitude and determination. Gratitude for the strides made, and determination to continue building a future where every individual impacted by breast or gynecologic cancer feels supported and empowered.
How Technology Helped Power the Gala
Events like this are not only about gathering in person, they are about building momentum and awareness long before the doors open. With the help of Vee’s Maggie AI, BRCA Strong was able to supercharge their outreach and engagement. For the gala alone, Maggie created more than 100 social media posts, helping BRCA Strong capture attention, inspire action, and drive attendance.
The results speak for themselves. In just the last 30 days, Maggie has helped BRCA Strong achieve over 431,000 views, more than 8,000 interactions, and gained 300+ new followers across their social channels. These numbers represent more than metrics — they represent new connections, stronger awareness, and a growing community rallying behind BRCA Strong’s mission.
These numbers matter beyond the gala itself. Every new follower gained is a potential future donor. Every interaction is a person who now knows BRCA Strong exists. Every view is an opportunity to reach someone — maybe a woman who just received a diagnosis, maybe a family member trying to understand what their loved one is going through — and let them know that support is available. Maggie didn't just help sell tickets. She helped build a community.
Why Partnerships Matter
Moments like this highlight the power of partnerships between nonprofits and companies. By coming together, we can amplify voices, expand reach, and drive greater impact. At Vee, our role is to equip nonprofits with the tools they need to thrive, whether it is Grant AI helping organizations secure more funding or Maggie AI streamlining social media outreach. When nonprofits can save time and resources on the back end, they can devote more energy to the life-changing work they do every day.
Supporting BRCA Strong is about more than sponsorship. It is about standing shoulder to shoulder with a movement that aligns with our values of resilience, inclusion, and compassion.
What Nonprofits Can Learn from BRCA Strong's Gala Strategy
The BRCA Strong gala is a masterclass in what happens when a nonprofit combines a compelling mission with consistent, well-executed digital outreach. A few takeaways for any organization planning a major event:
Start building awareness early. The 100+ posts Maggie created weren't all published the week before. They built momentum over time — educating the audience, sharing stories, and creating anticipation well before the night itself.
Let your community be part of the story. Content that featured survivors, volunteers, and supporters — not just the event details — is what drove emotional connection and shareability.
Use your event to grow your audience permanently. The 300+ new followers gained during the gala period didn't disappear after the night ended. They're now part of BRCA Strong's community — and with consistent posting, they'll stay engaged and eventually become donors.
Measure what matters. Views and interactions aren't vanity metrics when they translate into attendance, awareness, and lasting community growth. The sold-out room was partly the result of the digital groundwork laid in the weeks before.
Looking Ahead
As BRCAStrong celebrates ten years of service, the road ahead is filled with opportunity. There are more patients to reach, more families to comfort, and more voices to amplify. At Vee, we are proud to be part of that journey and committed to fueling the next decade of strength alongside BRCA Strong.
To every survivor, previvor, thriver, volunteer, and supporter who made this milestone night unforgettable, we celebrate you. Thank you for showing the world what true strength looks like.
