About BRCA Strong
BRCA Strong is a Miami-based nonprofit supporting women before and after mastectomy surgery as they navigate breast cancer, reconstruction, and survivorship. Their mission is rooted in care, connection, and empowerment. While they already relied on Vee for daily social content, the BRCA Strong team faced a new challenge when planning their annual Gala — one of their biggest and most visible events of the year.
The Challenge
As the Gala approached, BRCAStrong wasn’t sure how to bring the event to life online. They didn’t know what branding to use, what type of content would resonate, how often to post, or how to build excitement leading up to the event. With limited time and staff capacity, creating a full event campaign from scratch, in addition to their existing daily posting, felt overwhelming. They needed consistent creative direction, a clear cadence, and an entire digital promotion strategy. Instead of trying to tackle it themselves, they decided to trust the entire Gala promotion to Maggie.
The Solution with Vee
Maggie became the creative force behind the Gala. She developed the branding look and feel, built the promotional arc, generated event-specific messaging, and created all assets needed to build momentum online. BRCA Strong handed over their raw content, updates, sponsor highlights, and behind-the-scenes photos and Maggie transformed it into a full event campaign.
Over the course of the campaign, Maggie produced more than 100 Gala-focused posts, completely separate from BRCA Strong’s always-on content. She drove awareness, urgency, and excitement across multiple touchpoints leading up to the event. This isolated campaign became a new way BRCA Strong used Vee not just for day-to-day consistency, but as a full engine for promoting major events and driving real-world turnout.
The results were undeniable. Between August 16th and September 14th, the Gala campaign generated:
416,000+ views
8,000+ interactions
320+ new followers on socialÂ
This level of visibility and engagement far exceeded anything BRCAStrong had produced for prior events, and it helped contribute to their Gala selling out with 350 attendees.
