Egan founded VEE Corporation in 1980 No one is quite sure how Vincent E. Egan thought of the name VEE Favorite part of your day? The morning. I love getting up and going to work. I'm pretty lucky. Favorite part of your job? My job is providing good, quality family entertainment to millions of people around the world from ages 0 to 99. I love every part of my job. (See question one. This is why I love getting up in the morning.) What started this for you? I was a car guy. At GM for years. Through serendipitous good fortune, and refusing to give up on what I thought was a pretty good idea, it started. Who influences you? Everybody. Everybody is different. Everyone's creative. I stay open to the input of every individual, and their contribution. Not only to me, but to the world. A memory of your job you'll always carry with you. The first time I stood in the back of Madison Square Garden, watching 8,000 people having one of the greatest moments of their lives, interacting with the show and with each other...I tangibly felt and saw true happiness. Knowing that I was fortunate enough to be a part of it — it's all worth it — it's been a great ride. What did you do on your last day off? You mean other than think about the company? I fed the deer. Fictional character you identify with and why: Elmo - because he wants to be everything - a fireman, a policeman, a doctor - and all at the same time. Mascot you identify with and why: Despite the fact that we're a company that creates these amazing identities in a humongous studio, my two mascots are Fred and Pricilla. Fred's a Squirrel, Priscilla's the Deer who comes to the deer feeder on the farm. I love the fact that we're all in this together. I guess I have a lot of furry friends. What's your mascot's name and what would you root for? Mr. In-Vince-Able. And I'd stand for caring, sharing, peace, And Fun. Likes: Travel, experiencing new things, success (which comes in many different forms) and I also have a soft spot in my heart for bright fuzzy characters.
